Chak De! India fame actor Rio Kapadia passed away at 66

Veteran Bollywood actor Rio Kapadia Passed away at the age of 66. The actor, who appeared in films such as Chak De! India, Happy New Year, and Mardaani, died on September 13. Faisal Malik, a friend of his, confirmed his death. Thea actual cause of the death is still unknown.

On September 15, his cremation will take place at Shiv Dham Shamshan Bhumi in Goregaon. The actor is survived by his wife, Maria Farah, and their two children, Aman and Veer.

Rio has been in a number of films, including Khuda Haafiz, The Big Bull, Agent Vinod, and others. He was recently seen in an episode of Made in Heaven 2.

 Apart from cinema, the actor was a familiar figure on television, where he appeared in shows like Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Siddharth Tewary’s Mahabharat, in which he played Gandhari’s Father, King Subala of Gandhara.

Rio Kapadia not only excelled in acting but he was also a wonderful artist. is Instagram feed is full of stunning pencil sketches of superstars such as Dilip Kumar, Suchitra Sen, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan, as well as Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Shah Rukh Khan, and Rishi Kapoor.

Until June of this year, the actor was active on Instagram. He revealed in a post at the time that he was on vacation in Paris. Rio captioned a sequence of images from his vacation, back again to the final leg of the European trip!” Return to Paris. He also wrote in his caption that he had to see Paris in the evening from the Eiffel Tower and have a few last dinners in this lovely city.

He was on vacation in Switzerland also. About Switzerland, he said it is Incredibly beautiful.  He also posed with the statue of Yash Raj Chopra there and gave him a big salute. Taking to his Instagram he wrote, Zurich, Mt. Titlis, Interlaken, Lucerne, Jungfraujoch (Europe’s highest point), and the honour of standing next to Yash Chopraji’s statue (a salute to him). He also revealed he had been there three times and couldn’t wait to go again and again to experience a fresh high.
