Two masked criminals robbed a Delhi Police Constable of his car at gunpoint on SPR Road in Gurugram while he was going for his G20 Summit duty, police said on Monday. The incident occurred late on Saturday night when Delhi police constable Rajkumar (32) was returning from Mahendragarh to Delhi to attend his night shift duty for the G20 summit.

The police constable reached SPR road around 11 pm when a white car stopped in front of his vehicle. Two masked men carrying weapons, one of them put a pistol on the windshield of his car and other on the victim. Rajkumar said in his police complaint that soon after they asked him to get down from the car and also threatened to shoot him if he did not. When he came out his car they pushed him aside and ran away with the car.

Rajkumar added his driving license, ID card, wallet containing Rs 5000 and his Delhi police uniform were kept inside the car. He said due to darkness the registration number on the swift car was not visible at night. The CCTV footage captured at Kherki Dhaula toll Plaza shows the white swift car but the police did not get any vital clues from it.

The police said an FIR has been registered against the unknown accused under the sections 392 (robbery), 397(robbery with attempt to cause death or grevious hurt), 34(common intention) of the arms act and IPC at Kherki Daula police station on Sunday. Inspector Ajay Malik, SHO of Kherki Daula Police station said the crime unit team and teams of the police station are investigating the case and the accused will be arrested soon.
