Indian cricket star Virat Kohli danced to the tunes of Nepali song Kuttu Ma Kuttu during the Asia Cup 2023 match against Nepal on Monday. Kohli was playing his first match against Nepal and to keep his nerves calm he decided to dance to the tunes of the Nepali song.

Kutu Ma Kutu is one of the well known Nepali songs. The song was uploaded on You Tube six years ago. The video has reached 193 million views on youtube. The DJ at the Palekelle stadium played the song during the match between India and Nepal. Fans recorded the dance of Virat Kohli and shared on X(formerly twitter).

The former India Captain who shared light moments with Pakistani cricketers Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf was seen in a similar mood in its match against Nepal.

The Nepalese fans had the time of their lives at the Pallekele international stadium. Nepal got off to steady start and raced to 65 in the powerplay overs. But the Nepal innings slowed down after the opener Kushal Bhurtel was dismissed. Indian bowlers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj almost dismissed the two Nepalese openers in the first seven deliveries of the match. Shami got the outside edge of Bhurtel’s bat, but Shreyas Iyer dropped him in the slips.

Aasif Shiekh played a ball from Mohammed Siraj towards short cover fielder Virat Kohli who also dropped him. Ravindra Jadeja came as a saving grace and picked up three crucial wickets. Mohammed Siraj’s 3/61 helped India to pull things back restrict Nepal for 230 in 48.2 overs. Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill successfully chased the target with a ten wicket victory for India.

After the match Kohli was seen spending time with Nepal cricketers inside the dressing room. Kohli also signed the shoes of Nepal all-rounder Sompal Kami.
