Union Minister of State SP Singh Baghel came to the aid of a passenger who fell sick on Gatimaan Express train. Both the minister and the passenger, Wahidur Rahman were travelling on the same train from Delhi to Agra. 

According to reports, the health of the passenger suddenly deteriorated in Gatimaan Express. As soon as this information was announced in the train, the Union Minister of State rushed to the passenger and helped him. Considering Wahidur Rahman’s health condition, SP Singh Baghel called the authorities concerned and requested prompt arrangements for Rahman’s treatment at Agra Cantonment Railway Station.  

Speaking about the incident, Union Minister of State SP Singh Baghel narrated that he was travelling to Agra on Tuesday morning by Gatimaan Express when he came across the situation. He added that during his journey, there was an announcement in the coach that the health of a passenger in seat number 42 in C-2 coach had deteriorated. He quoted that the announcement stated that if any doctor was travelling in the train to Agra, then the person can come to C – 2 coach for help. However, there was no doctor on the train. 

Reports state that as soon as the train reached the station, a team of doctors arrived in the coach to examine the patient and treated him.  SP Singh Baghel stayed with the patient during his treatment and left only after his condition improved. Wahidur Rahman told the minister that he had come from Kolkata to visit Agra with 20 of his companions.

Earlier, two days ago, SP Singh Baghel met the passengers of Raipur who were the victims of food poisoning and inquired about their well-being. Furthermore, he directed concerned authorities to make arrangements to send the dead bodies of both the passengers who lost their lives due to food poisoning to Raipur after postmortem.
