Atlee’s latest Film Jawan has recently gained traction for its collaboration with six internationally renowned action directors. Jawan is Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee Kumar’s first project together. 

The film has created a lot of buzz on the internet for its team of action directions from across the globe. This team consists of Spiro Razatos, Yannick Ben, Anal Arasu, Craig Macrae, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Sunil Rodrigues. 

Razatos was also a part of Shah Rukh Khan’s 2011 blockbuster Ra One where the actor’s gravity defying stunts left the audience awestruck. He is known for his work in Hollywood hits like The Fast and The Furious and Captain America.

Yannick Ben has designed action sequences for critically acclaimed films such as Inception, Transporter 3 and Dunkirk. He is also known for his contributions to Telugu and Hindi films such as Raees and Tiger Zinda Hai. Craig Macrae, known for his creative visions in films like Mad Max: Fury Road and Avengers: Age of Ultron, adds to the team. 

Kecha Khamphakdee, a recipient of the National Film Award, is known for his work in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Anal Arasu and Sunil Rodrigues have also made their mark in enthralling action sequences in big films like Shershaah, Sooryavanshi, Sultan and Kick. 

Jawan is an action-thriller co-written and directed by Atlee Kumar. This film is his directorial debut in Bollywood. The film also stars Nayanthara, marking her debut in Hindi cinema, and Vijay Setupathi in lead roles. Deepika Padukone, Vijay and Sanjay Dutt feature in the film for a special cameo. It also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani and Richa Dogra in supporting roles.

Jawan’s advance bookings have been opened in US, Germany and Australia. It is reported that approximately 4,800 tickets worth $74.2k from 28 locations in the U.S have been sold. Jawan is likely set to earn more than what Shah Rukh Khan’s previous film Pathaan collected overseas on its opening day. Pathaan had collected Rs 37 crore overseas whereas Atlee’s film is reportedly set to earn Rs 50 crore.
