Pakistani actor Nadia Khan says she didn’t like Sunny Deol saying anti-Pakistan dialogues, Dharmendra agrees with her

Superstar Dharmendra and his son Sunny Deol reportedly hold a stance against the inclusion of anti-Pakistan dialogues in the latter’s films, according to Pakistani actor and anchor Nadia Khan. This revelation emerged during Khan’s interview with Pakistani YouTuber Nadir Ali in February 2023. Nadir Ali is known for her prank videos.

During her conversation, Nadia Khan discussed her extensive interactions with Bollywood superstar Dharmendra, revealing an exclusive call she had received from him. Khan shared that her staff informed her about Dharmendra’s call, though she initially questioned the call’s authenticity. Dharmendra conveyed that he had watched her show in the UK, as recounted by Khan.

The incident goes back at least 16 years, dating to the time when the Pakistani anchor asserts that the occurrence took place during the production of the movie Apne, which featured Dharmendra, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol, and was released in 2007. In the course of their conversation, Dharmendra praised a compilation Khan had put together, highlighting Cool Dads from various corners of the world. During the interview with Ali, Khan relayed that she discussed Sunny Deol’s portrayal of anti-Pakistani sentiments in his films with Dharmendra.

Nadia Khan conveyed her disapproval, stating, She didn’t like it when his son, Sunny Deol, says anti-Pakistan things in his movies. She reported that Dharmendra agreed with her sentiment. She asked Dharmendra to convey to Sunny that he has many fans in Pakistan who share her perspective.

Nadir Ali added that while Sunny Deol takes on roles that may involve such character elements, he is, in reality, a person of high moral character. Continuing the conversation, Nadia Khan mentioned that Dharmendra informed her that even Sunny Deol is uncomfortable with uttering such dialogues in his films but feels majboori hai (there are obligations).

Meanwhile, the sequel to Sunny Deol’s 2001 blockbuster, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, titled Gadar 2, has taken the Box Office by storm, amassing nearly Rs 230 crore in just five days.
