Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt opened up about his bond with Pooja tagging themselves as Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He said he used to drop Pooja to school and after school, Pooja used to accompany him to Bappi Lahiri’s house when he was working on a song with the music star.

He further added, when Pooja became a superstar Bappi used to ask if she remembered him visiting his house with father Mahesh Bhatt. People around them used to compare their bond like Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

 As per the report, Mahesh Bhatt revealed he had no jobs for quite some time and his wife had to take a receptionist job. He also said the reason he was able to spend more time with Pooja during her childhood was because he did not have work.

He became a father at the early age of 24 and used to work for small commercials like the Life Boys of Dalda. However, he managed to make 2-3 films by then, but they did not work at the box office. The financial condition was not stable to feed the children. That’s when Pooja’s mother started working as a receptionist at Britannia and was paid well.

Mahesh Bhatt further revealed that Pooja Bhatt rejected his films like Aashiqui. Furthermore, he said, Pooja has lived her life on her terms when he offered her Aashiqui after Daddy. She had the guts to reject the film offered by her father. After that she did Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, and Sadak. He added when she became a producer; she didn’t do commercial films but she did Tamanna.
