Jaish-backed terror group threatens attacks in Jammu, Delhi over allotting flats to non-locals in J&K

A proscribed Terrorist outfit, that claimed responsibility for the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district that killed five Indian Army personnel, has threatened to carry out terrorist attacks in Jammu and Delhi over administration’s announcement of allotting flats to non-locals in the erstwhile state.

In a social media post, a terror group known as People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), threatened to carry out attacks in Jammu and national capital New Delhi, if the government doesn’t reverse its decision to allot residential flats to non-locals in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board on Saturday announced that it will allot 336 economically weaker section (EWS) and low-income group (LIG) flats to non-locals under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) mission.

In a statement issued via a social media post, the PAFF, which as per intelligence reports is a proxy wing of Pakistan-based banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed, threatened to turn Jammu into a “battleground”, adding that the terror group’s “fighters will not only engulf Jammu but the sparks will spread to Delhi too.”

The terrorist group, according to the statement, threatened, to leave no stone unturned to “kick out illegal settlers” in the former state.

The PAFF, a little-know terrorist outfit, has gained notoriety in Jammu and Kashmir recently, especially after it claimed responsibility for the recent terrorist attack on an Indian Army truck in Poonch district which killed five soldiers.

On April 20, five Indian Army jawans were killed and one was injured after their Vehicle Caught Fire on the Poonch-Jammu highway in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to reports, an army vehicle caught fire in Bhatta Durian Forest in BG Sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir resulting in the deaths of five Army personnel and injuries to another.

As per preliminary investigations, the Army truck was carrying fruits and other items to a forward village for Iftar that was supposed to be hosted by the Army’s Rashtriya Rifles unit on Thursday evening.

Reports quoting sources said the attack is suspected to have been carried out by a group of three to four terrorists who may have used a sticky bomb or a grenade due to which the truck caught fire.
