Delhi Airport, yet again, declared a full emergency after a Pune-bound Air India flight made an emergency landing due to a suspected windshield crack. Reports said a total of 180 people were onboard.

The flight requested an emergency landing and made it back to Delhi safely at 5:50 pm. Reports said a minor crack was reported in the windshield which will be replaced soon.

This is the third incident of a full emergency at the Delhi Airport this month.

Earlier, today a Srinagar-bound SpiceJet flight returned to the Indira Gandhi International Airport after the airline received a false fire warning in the cockpit.

SpiceJet in a statement said the aircraft SpiceJet B737 operating flight SG-8378 returned to Delhi following which a full emergency was declared for the Delhi-Srinagar flight. The aircraft had 140 passengers onboard.

On Saturday, Delhi Aiport declared a full emergency when an IndiGo flight flying to Bagdogra suffered a snag. Over 200 passengers boarded the flight and were scheduled to land ay Bagdogra International Airport at 4:10 pm. However, the flight had to make an emergency landing at Kolkata Airport at around 3:30 pm.

Earlier this month, a Dubai-bound FedEx aircraft was hit by a bird soon after the take-off from the Delhi Airport. The airport officials declared a full emergency after the incident took place at 10:46 am.

The FedEx aircraft FX5279 landed safely and took off again at 1:44 pm, reports said.
