Good news for cinema lovers as PVR has dropped a bumper offer for all the Film buffs as Cinema Lovers Day is nearing. On the occasion, PVR Cinemas will screen some blockbuster films including Avatar: The Way of Waters, Varisu, and Thunivu for just Rs 99. Ain’t it great?

Cinema lovers can avail of this offer on January 20.

Varisu

Starring Rashmika Mandanna and Thalapathy Vijay, the Telugu film Varisu has managed to earn a total of Rs 119.40 crores nett at the Indian Box Office, inclusive of Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions. The film did pretty well at the cinemas during the Pongal festival and is still running successfully.

The film minted Rs 210 crore worldwide in its first week. The makers on Wednesday took to Twitter and announced the film business.

The box office collections of Varisu at the Indian box office:

• Wednesday – Rs. 29.75 crores
• Thursday – Rs. 12 crores
• Friday – Rs. 12 crores
• Saturday – Rs. 22.75 crores
• Sunday – Rs. 25 crores
• Monday – Rs. 22.50 crores
• Tuesday – Rs. 20.50 crores

Avatar: The Way of Water

The international release Avatar: The Way of Water not only broke all records at the box office but also took over social media. Reports said the film collected Rs 471 crore in India surpassing Avengers: Endgame.

Thunivu

Thala Ajith’s film is not stopping anytime soon and is competing with Varisu at the box office. The action-thriller is nearing Rs 100 crore in the first week itself and succesfully worked during the Pongal festival.

• Wednesday: Rs 24.4 crore
• Thursday: Rs 11.8 crore
• Friday: Rs 8.3 crore
• Saturday: Rs 11 crore
• Sunday: Rs 11.9 crore
