The winter session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly began on Tuesday, where the opposition cornered the government on the issue of employment. On the other hand, hundreds of CTET/BTET pass youths took to the streets of Patna and demanded for the seventh phase of teacher recruitment.

As the protesters proceeded towards the assembly, the Bihar Police tried to stop them. When the teacher candidates did not agree to them, the police had to lathicharge them. There are reports of several people injured in the incident.

CTET / BTET pass teacher candidates have been demanding for a long time to issue notification for the seventh phase teacher recruitment, but the government is not paying heed to the matter. On Tuesday, the candidates made a plan and protested in the capital to make their voice reach the government.

When they left for the Vidhan Sabha gherao via Patna Junction Dak Bungalow intersection, then the police interrupted and tried to stopped him. After this, the people who were protesting were lathi-charged and several have even been injured druing this incident.

A protester talked to media and said that he is a candidate for the seventh phase and had filled the form in 2019, but the recruitment is not completed yet. He has raised this demand in front of the government several times, but is not being heard. Because of this they had to come on the streets. He further added that the education department is also inactive in this matter, as they also did not give any answer.

As soon as the videos of lathicharge went viral on social media, tweeple expressed their anger towards the administration and wrote that if a populated state like Bihar has no intent to educate their kids, the future of India is definitely dark.
