Film critic Anupama Chopra might have just given the biggest spoiler of all time. The 55-year-old recently revealed that it is Ranveer Singh who will play the role of Dev in the second installment of Brahmastra.

Anupama Chopra was having a discussion with Anmol, fellow film critic (YouTube channel: Tried and Refused Productions) and she said that Brahmastra Part one had some flaws but she still has high expectation with the second part which features, Ranveer and Deepika in the shoes of Dev and Avantika.

Anmol was also as shocked as us and he asked Anupama is it an inside news, to which the film critic was quick to say yes and confirmed that it will be DeepVeer in Brahmastra Part 2. As soon the video was out, fans were really happy with the casting and also wrote to the director Ayan Mukherjee to improve the dialogue for the next installments.

For the unversed, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was one of the most-talked-about Bollywood films this year. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, who is also the best friend of the lead, the multi-verse film also saw Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni in important roles.

It had its theatrical release in four Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on September 9. The movie went on to become the most watched and earning film of the year with a total collection of more than 430 crores. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is now available on the OTT platform, Disney+Hotstar.

And now the markers are planning to release the next part in 2024. The first part ended on a very interesting note, when Dev came to life once again and the story behind his and Avantika’s’ love story will also be covered in the second part.
