Kerala film producers’ outfit imposes temporary ban on actor Sreenath Bhasi for abusing anchor

Kerala Film Producers’ Association (KFPA) on Tuesday imposed a temporary ban on the Malayalam Actor Sreenath Bhasi for allegedly misbehaving with the female anchor during an interview.

Reportedly, the 34-year-old Actor was giving an interview for a YouTube channel for his upcoming film, Chattambi. During the interview, the actor got furious at a question asked by the anchor, and he started abusing her and the crew members.

Following this, the anchor lodged a complaint with the KFPA. Based on the complaint, Maradu Police arrested the Bheeshma Parvam actor.

The actor was produced before the KFPA on Tuesday. He was released on bail, but he has been temporarily banned from working in films. However, the actor was permitted to complete the shooting of his ongoing films or other projects.

M Ranjith, a president of KFPA told that Bhasi had accepted his mistake and that’s why they are limiting the disciplinary action to a temporary ban.

Another complaint has been filed with KFPA alleging that the actor broke the terms of their contract by taking home an additional fee for the film. Renjith said Bhasi had agreed to reimburse the additional fee.

Sreenath Bhasi is an Indian actor and singer who works predominately in Malayalam films. He started his career as a Radio Jockey on Red FM 93.5. He gained recognition in the film Da Thadiya. He was a part of the Christian alternative metal band named Crimson Wood and is currently the vocalist of an experimental djent band from Kerala.

Sreenath Bhasi will be next seen in Abhilash S Kumar’s Chattambi, also starring Mythili, Chemban Vinod Jose, Guru Somasundaram, Grace Antony, and Binu Pappu. He has several other projects in his kitty, which include Idi Mazha Kaatu, Unlock, Khajuraho Dreams among others.
