The Indian athletes are leaving no stones unturned to make the final day of Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 a memorable one. 20 years old Lakshya Sen has created history by winning a Gold medal in his debut at commonwealth games.

Indian side is headed on ending the CWG 2022 campaign on a positive note by grabbing several golds on the final day. The gold tally increased with first PV Sindhu winning her elusive gold at CWG 2022 in Badminton women’s single.

Later in the day, Lakshya Sen has defeated Malaysian shuttler Tze Yong NG and clinched another gold in Men’s single badminton.

And just in! Indian table tennis legend Achanta Sharath Kamal has qualified for his seventh gold at Commonwealth Games. The 40-years-old has been representing India at this multi-sport event since 2006 when he won his first gold medal at Melbourne.

And today the Indian men’s hockey team is also eyeing a win against Australia to win another gold medal.

India is currently at the fourth position of the Birmingham CWG 2022 Medal Tally, with 20 gold and 58 medals in total. Since the beginning of this edition of Commonwealth games, Australia has been at the top spot. With 66 gold and 177 medals in total, its still at the number 1 position, followed by the host, England on the second spot with 56 gold and 170 medals in total.
