India is all set to host South Africa for five T20Is and the first match of the series will be played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitely tomorrow. In the absence of senior players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah, the star batter KL Rahul will be leading a bunch of new faces for whom the series will be a golden opportunity ahead to the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Two names that fans and everyone else concerned will be keeping a keen eye on will be Dinesh Karthik and Umran Malik. Both were exceptional in IPL 2022 and will be hoping to replicate their performances during international duties.

Speaking on the absence of senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the series, Team India head coach Raul Dravid has already said that it is unrealistic to think that senior players will be available every time for every game.

In the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma, his predecessor Virat Kohli and pacer Jasprit Bumrah, the hosts will rely on the IPL talent. While South Africa have named a full-strength squad featuring IPL regulars like Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, Anrich Nortje and Aiden Markram.
