Rekha Bhardwaj is an Indian singer, who was born on January 24, 1964, in Delhi, India. She has sung various songs in Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Punjabi.

She started singing from a very young age, and went on to receive formal training under Pandit Amarnath. Her first album Ishqa Ishqa got released in the year 2002. She got recognition from it. And then started her journey in Bollywood. She sang the song Namak Ishq Ka, from the film Omkara, in 2006, as her first break in the industry.

She is married to Vishal Bhardwaj, who is an acclaimed film director, playback singer and composer. The couple met in the year 1984, when Rekha was preparing for her annual function in Hindu College, Delhi University.

Throughout her career, she has won various awards, including two Filmfare awards and one National Award.
