Veteran journalist Vinod Dua passed away on Monday, December 4, after his long time battle with bad health conditions since April, when the senior journalist was infected with the coronavirus.
Dua’s daughter and comedian Mallika Dua shared an Instagram story to confirm the news of her father’s demise. Few days ago Mallika had shared an Instagram story, in which she urged people to pray for the well being of his father who was battling with his life in the ICU.

Mallika wrote that her father is beyond critical and is in the ICU. His health had been deteriorating rapidly since April and he was unable to come to terms with losing the light of his life, his wife Padmavati ‘Chinna’ Dua who passed away in June this year.
Mallika also confirmed the place where the veteran journalist’s last rites will be done.
Mallika in her Instagram wrote, Our irrelevant, fearless and extraordinary father, Vinod Dua has just passed away. He lived an inimitable life, rising from the refugee colonies of Delhi to the peak of journalistic excellence for over 42 years, always, always speaking truth to power. He is now with our mom, his beloved wife Chinna in heaven where they will continue to sing, cook, travel, and drive each other up the wall.
The cremation will take place tomorrow (05:12:21) at Lodhi crematorium at 12 noon.
