Priyanka Chopra’s Mom Madhu Chopra recently came out in support of her daughter, when the comparison between the actor and Deepika Padukone was being made on social media.

Priyanka shared pictures from a photoshoot wherein she can be seen wearing a black dress, which reminded several fans of a similar outfit worn by Deepika. While several were floored by the starlet, many drew comparisons and asked who wore it better.

But it seemed like the comparison didn’t go well with Madhu and she concluded the debate, responding to a media outlet’s post and tweeted, Only a blind will think they are wearing the same outfit. Besides, Pri always Carries Haute Couture better, she wrote. Further, when a user called Madhu’s statement embarrassing, she reiterated saying, Stating facts is not embarrassing.

For the unversed, Priyanka recently graced the cover of  Vogue Australia’s June edition, for which she did a photoshoot. The actor shared her stylish photos on social media which grabbed eyeballs. Much after that comparison began, the outfit in question is a black sheath dress. 

This is not the first time that Priyanka and Deepika were compared, on several occasions, they have both been pitted against each. As per reports, when Deepika Padukone was asked about the comparisons, she said that as she knows Priyanka on a personal level, it feels weird being compared to her because their worlds are totally distinct.

Meanwhile,  Madhu Chopra, along with her daughter, co-owns the production house Purple Pebble Pictures as a part of which they have produced regional films such as Kaay Re Rascala, Ventilator, Pahuna, Sarvann and Paani among others. Paani won the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation in 2019.

Talking about Priyanka, she  is currently busy with a Hollywood movie Citadel, which is being helmed by Avengers makers Joe and Anthony Russo. The film  is a spy thriller series co-starring Richard Madden, and is billed as a global event for OTT.
