Mugabe’s Downfall: Following a Military takeover in Zimbabwe and subsequently, President Robert Mugabe’s house arrest, a video showing Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua predicting “impending military intervention in the government of a Southern African country” has been circulating like wildfire on social media in Zimbabwe. In the video, senior pastor of the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) could be heard speaking about military plans to “get rid of a President in a region of Southern Africa”. T.B Joshua also told the congregants in Lagos, Nigeria, that the name of the country was shown to him but that he was not going to mention it to avoid “undue pandemonium” in the country.
“The military is interested in embarrassing a President – either they kill him or kidnap him. They are still having that plan to kidnap either a President or Vice-President of that nation or the First Lady of that nation,” the Nigerian pastor said. Zimbabweans on social media have continued to share the clips thousands of times on Facebook and Whatsapp. Meanwhile, before events unfolded on Tuesday with the military taking power, Zimbabwe’s prominent privately-owned newspaper ‘NewsDay’ featured T.B Joshua’s prophecy on the front page of their Monday 13th November 2017 edition. ‘NewsDay’ also reported that the Nigerian prophet had reiterated the prediction last week.
In a related story, Nigeria’s former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has also taken to his social media account to share T.B Joshua’s prophecy about the ongoing political crisis in Zimbabwe. In a tweet, Fani-Kayode wrote
