Sukhbir Singh Badal is an Indian politician who has been the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab since 2009. He is also the president of Sikh political party Shiromani Akali Dal. He is the son of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.Sukhbir Badal was born on 9 July 1962 in Faridkot. His mother's name is Surinder Kaur. Initially, he was educated at The Lawrence School, Sanawar. He completed an M.A. in Economics from Panjab University Chandigarh and an M.B.A from California State University, Los Angeles in the United States.
Joint meeting of the Indian and Chinese bicycle associations at the China Cycle 2016 exhibition turned out fruitful as it would lead to creation of the world's largest high end and electric bicycle manufacturing facility 'Cycle Valley' with a capacity of 15 million cycles at Ludhiana over 300 acres of land. The local industry will also be benefited as we are requesting them to tie up with world manufacturers for providing ancillary support. This 'Cycle Valley' would initially provide employment to 1.5 Lakh Persons and go up to 4.5 lakh persons once it reached its full potential.
ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਨੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ਕਤ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਬਨਾਉਣ 'ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਰਜੀਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਕੂਲ 'ਮਾਈ ਭਾਗੋ ਆਰਮਡ ਫੋਰਸਿਜ਼ ਇੰਸਟੀਚਿਊਟ' ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਖੇ ਖੋਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਮਡ ਫੋਰਸਿਜ਼ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਅਦਾਰੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮਕਰਨ 18ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਯੋਧਾ 'ਮਾਈ ਭਾਗੋ' ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਮੁਗਲਾਂ ਖਿਲ਼ਾਫ਼ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਅਦਾਰਾ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਦਾਰਾ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ-ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਅੰਡਰ-ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ..
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਬਣਾ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਸਮੇਤ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕਾਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਲਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਖੇਤਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਆਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਜ਼ੀਰਕਪੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀਆਂ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਧੀਨ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਪੱਖੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਾਡਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਉਭਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਹੋਰ ਤੇਜ਼ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।
