Donald Trump: Politics, Business, Money

Tags: trump

The name Donald Trump is well and widely known. Currently, the nation is well informed on Trumps social and political actions. As Trump is running for the presidential candidacy, he is in the spotlight now mainly for his political views. However, Trump is much more than just a politician. Trump has a wide range of knowledge from politics to business to social interaction. All of these skills come together to make Trump an extremely successful and powerful man.

Doubtlessly, Trump is most known for his business endeavors. Trump is currently worth more than 10 billion dollars. However, his wealth did not come without failure. Of his 19 most known businesses, 11 failed, and 9 of those 11 failed in under 6 years. That’s a 58% rate of failure. Why did Trump take these risks? It’s simple; the businesses that did succeed are exceptionally lucrative. Trump is either a trustee, president, chairman, or member of over 500 businesses and of those 500, 391 bear his name. Aside from his businesses, Trump has gained a fortune through the stock exchange. He inherited 40 million dollars which he invested over the course of 41 years. That 40 million dollar investment grew to 3 billion and of that 3 billion, he reinvested 200 million and now his holdings have a value of 8 million dollars. Trump grew his inheritance by 20,000% through investments.

Trump had been the host of the widely known show, “The Apprentice”, from 2004 up until his run for office in 2016. During each season of the show, Trump dealt with a variety of people from different backgrounds and varying personalities. Through the many connections and social interactions that he has made, Trump has become a master of social conduct. Social conduct is a set of rules that outline social normalities, rules, and responsibilities that an individual has. Trump uses these learned skills in everything that he does and with everyone that he interacts with. Why does this matter? Trump has an advantage in his life, and in his work because of his understanding of how to cooperate and communicate with a large array of people.

These skills make Trump a strong contender in the up-and-coming presidential election. With his many business connections and ties, a campaign is not where the challenge is for Trump; his struggle lies in public opinion. In order to win over the public, Trump will have to utilize all of the personable skills that he has had time to sharpen over the years in order to make himself a favorable contender for the oval office. It is no secret that Trump has strong opinions and likes to voice them; the real question lies in whether or not he will succeed in doing so in a way that the public favors.
