The General Secretary of Papua Sport Committee (KONI Papua), Kenius Kogoya, could not hide his pride when visiting a number of PON XX 2021 venues, all of which were of international standard.

This was conveyed by Kenius after visiting the Aquatic Papua Bangkit venue, Istora Papua Bangkit and Indoor Shooting, Friday (3/7/2020).

He also believes that in the future, with the existence of these venues, Papua Province will be able to hold international events such as the Asian Games.

“So with the best venues like this, I ask athletes to be encouraged in a centralized TC. If possible athletes must give the best performance by donating medals for Papua “

“Because we as hosts are very proud of the existing facilities, but we also expect athletes to be able to carve achievements,” hopes Kenius.

Kenius Kogoya also appreciated the progress of the construction of the XX 2021 National Sports Championship venue, which currently averages above 90 percent.

Therefore he hopes the support from all Papuans to be able to pray for the preparation of the implementation of XX 2021 PON, so that it runs as it should.

“Because without public prayers, of course this four-year event cannot run well. For that we hope our community can support through prayer “.

It is known, PON XX will take place on 2-13 October 2021 by competing 37 sports in four clusters. Namely, Jayapura City, Jayapura Regency, Merauke and Mimika.
