Irene Wan Is A Hongkong Film Actress

The beautiful Irene Wan is a film actress from Hong Kong. She has done a number of movies. The first is “Lonely Fifteen”, for which she gained a nomination with the Hong Kong Film Awards for Best New Performer. This was done in the year 1982. In the same year, she also did “Happy Sixteen”. They year after that, she did “Possessed” and “Everlasting Love”.

The latter gave her more credibility as an actress as she gave a beautiful performance at a tender age of seventeen. She co-starred with Loletta Lee and Andy Lau in this film. In the succeeding years, her movies were also notable, especially in “Love unto Waste” and “Rouge” both directed by Stanley Kwan. In between, she also did “Lucky Stars Go Places”, “Caper”, “Fatal Vacation”, “The Tigers”, and “Gentle Reflections”.

There probably comes a time in everyone’s life where they plateau or even take a dip in their career. This also happened to Irene Wan, and she agreed to take a nude role in the movie “All of a Sudden”. This led her to starring in television series dramas, instead of giving her a ticket to bigger fame in the world of movies.
The television series she later participated in were entitled “Gods of Honour” in 2001, and “Magic Needle” in 2005. She did a few movies again afterwards, such as “Exodus” in 2007, “The Drunkard” in 2010, “72 Heroes” in 2011, and “Triad” in 2012, among others.

Irene Wan is definitely a beauty that has stood the test of time and fads that just come and go. Though she did not take off as successfully as one would have expected, her career has spanned almost thirty years, and that is something that a lot of actors and actresses cannot say about themselves and their respective runs in show business.
