Cheer Chen is one of the rare talented artists that do not bank on their lineage or rich upbringing to have success and enjoy appreciation for their work. The Taiwanese singer-songwriter has unparalleled talent that even bands such as Mayday admit that she is one of the best performers in their circle.

She had her beginnings with an underground rock band, and then eventually signed a deal with Rock Records. A number of things happened in between, which has led her to producing her own music, and is currently under Teamear Music.

One of the most amazing things about this woman is that unlike those who clearly are only doing it for the money or the fame, Cheer Chen tries to avoid the attention and the hounding of the media because she would much rather focus on giving her music the best developments and arrangements she possibly could. She is known to give very satisfying performances as this is her top priority for her concerts. There was even this one time that she gave out hand-made passes to one of her shows.

Apart from her successful music career, Cheer Chen has modeled or become a spokesperson for a few name brands, such as Nikon Coolpix X620, Nikon D3100 and Nikon D5000. She was also in an Adidas Originals advertisement, together with a lot of other internationally known artists such as soccer star David Beckham. Sokenbicha, an herbal drink brand that is popular in Taiwan, was also represented by Cheer Chen in May 2011.
