Skateboard senior portraits sessions are absolutely some of my favorites! Why? Because they’re all about capturing the essence and attitude of the senior, rather than just landing every trick. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Kai, a senior at Grosse Pointe South High School, for her senior portraits in Detroit, MI. Kai knew exactly what she wanted – to infuse her senior portraits with the vibrant energy of the city she loves. We split her session in half to showcase her multifaceted personality: one half dedicated to edgy shots with her longboard, and the other half highlighting her passion for music with her viola.

For the first half of Kai’s session, we hit the Detroit streets bright and early, seizing the quiet morning hours to claim the downtown Detroit area as our own. The result? Absolutely amazing senior portraits that capture Kai’s spirit and zest for life.
