A big secondhand Book market was held at a park in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. It sold not only books but also antique goods. I found cute old bookmarks there.
This illustration on the wrapper is of Japanese wooden dolls called Kokeshi. It says " Kokeshi bookmarks"in Japanese.
I found three bookmarks inside. I don't know how many years old they are.
These are souvenirs for a sightseeing place called Nikko. The place is not especially famous for Kokeshi so I don't know why they use this illustration. Maybe in the past they were cute and populer. (Kokeshi dolls are becoming populure again)
I was pleasantly surprised to find that they were the equivalent of one doller!
