This Wedding in Syracuse is one I was particularly anticipating, as it’s my first time that far northwest I’ve ever had to travel for a shoot in NY, and a referral from one of my all-star couples- Deanna and Jon! It also didn’t hurt that it was to shoot one of the absolute nicest couples with which I’ve ever had the pleasure to work (if you can call it, “work” with these two). From our first consultation over Skype, I could see that these two would be pretty easy to photograph, as their chemistry was never forced nor unnatural… simply perfect  Both self-proclaimed nerds, currently residing in sunny California (working for Disney!), they decided to have their wedding ceremony and portaits at their alma mater- Syracuse University. They were married at, “Hendrick’s Chapel“. How cool is that? With some stunning architecture and abundant soft light, it was definitely my kind of chapel (literally). Ripe with awesome touches (such as the “grape soda” bottle cap pin from Pixar’s, “Up“), Lauren and Kevin had a fantastic autumn wedding with gorgeous autumn light, making for some truly wonderful wedding photos. From the very beginning, as Lauren got prepared with her beautiful bridesmaids at the modern-chic Hotel Skyler, I had a terrific gut feeling about the rest of the day, and right my gut was. It was just a blast learning about these two and their awesome college stories from their adventures in marching band, to getting shoes stuck in trees.. good times Alas, all good things must come to an end, as they finished their day with the wedding reception at the Dinosaur BBQ in Syracuse, NY.
