My dear friend Kate Suhr just released the most beautiful album I have ever heard and I was lucky enough to take photos for her album art. We woke at 5:00 and drove to the water. We waited for a hint of sunrise and began shooting. This morning was perfect and beautiful.

The Selkie is a mythological creature said to live as seals in the sea. They shed their skin, to become human on land. The stories frequently revolve around female selkies being coerced into relationships with humans by someone stealing and hiding their sealskin, often not regaining the skin until years later.
