Tell us about the bride Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Caitlin grew up in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey and went to HHK Public School and Immaculate Heart Academy. Caitlin has a Bachelors Degree from the Catholic University of America, and a Masters Degree from William Paterson University. She works as an elementary orchestra teacher. Caitlin plays the Viola. 

Tell us about the Groom Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

John grew up in Waldwick, New Jersey and went to Waldwick Public Elementary School and High School. He then went to Ramapo College.  John works at Vander Sterre Brothers as a project manager and realtor.  He is also a musician – he plays the drums.

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

Caitlin and John met 10 years ago when they both worked for Victor’s House of Music in Paramus, NJ.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

John and Caitlin like to go up to John’s family lake house in upstate New York in the warmer months. In mid-September of 2014, they had plans to go up for a weekend.  Caitlin knew that John was going to propose because he told her that they were going to go out to dinner at a restaurant they’d never been to before (john isn’t adventurous). Caitlin also commented to John that he needed to get a hair cut before they left (something that John hates to do) and he got one that day.  She knew something was up, but was expecting John to propose on the Saturday. Instead, as soon as they got upstate, John ran outside into the sunset and was down on one knee with a ring.  Caitlin was surprised because she was expecting it the next day!

Besides getting married -What is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

Wearing my lovely wedding dress!

What inspired your decor or theme?

Our love of music!

The lake on the outside is gorgeous. The venue is also recently renovated and is clean and fresh!
