Jose proposed at one of our favorite places in New Jersey – Duke Farms. We used to live within walking distance when we first moved to Jersey, and really enjoyed spending time exploring it. Between COVID and moving further up in North Jersey, we haven’t gotten back nearly as much as we’d like. We found some time when we were both off of work for the holidays, and carved out an afternoon to spend there. We had already been walking for a bit when we got to one of the prettiest places on the property – a bridge overlooking a pond. I was looking out over the water, and when I turned around to ask Jose something he was on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was so shocked, I screamed but didn’t answer right away…so he had to ask again. Once the shock wore off, I said yes and we got to enjoy the rest of our walk.
