Engagement Session
How did you two Meet?
Elvis and I met on the dance floor! Elvis was out celebrating his friends birthday and I was celebrating my sister’s birthday. Elvis asked me out to dance and after brief hesitation (yes- very brief because he was so handsome) I said yes. The dance moves qualified as passing, (haha!!) and the spark we felt was a sign something beautiful would come from this. Elvis and I exchanged numbers and our relationship continued to flourish!
How did the proposal go?
The proposal took place while on a family vacation in Dominican Republic. Elvis wanted us to visit his hometown as his parents had recently retired there. Elvis’ family and mine gathered for dinner. As we were waiting for “dessert,” comes the waitress and places a plate in-front of me. It read “Will You Marry Me?” around a yummy dessert. Was this really happening?? My emotions quickly consumed me and my eyes gazed over the words. Elvis was down on one knee popping the big question! Nervousness cracking both our voices, I instantly said yes! ...I don’t think I had ever read that fast in my life.
Why did you decide on this location for your engagement session?
Jerry and Caroline suggested we do our shoot at Historic New Bridge Landing. We weren’t too familiar with the area but liked that the location had various ‘setting’ options. It seemed like we had gone to different places but in reality it was all done in one place!
Tell me about the details you're most excited about for your upcoming wedding!
We simply can’t wait to celebrate our love and express appreciation to those that have supported us and continue to support us along the way. We want everyone to dance the night away just like we did when we first met. We love to see our family and friends having fun!
What did you each wear to your engagement session?
We wanted a casual look. We also wanted it to be a “fall” photoshoot. We tried to choose colors that would complement this idea.

Do you have any tips or advice for other couples about to have engagement session taken?
Do you have any tips or advice for other couples about to have engagement photos taken? Just be yourself! Plan accordingly (outfits/makeup, etc) to avoid stress. These are photos of a lifetime and it’ll only be easier to select pictures of your choice if you’re both content with how you both looked.
How was your overall Engagement session experience?
Shooting with Jerry was a blast! Neither of us were born to be models so Jerry was very helpful in guiding us with the poses. He took his time ensuring the photos were coming out well, but at the same time he was quick, helping us maintain our energy and cheer from start to finish!
