15 WAYS TO REMEMBER Loved ONES AT YOUR WEDDING

When the one we love the most isn’t able to be at these important milestones in our life it can be upsetting. Fortunately, there are many meaningful ways you can a way to remember loved ones and acknowledge these special people on your wedding day – here’s a list of touching ideas for how to honor and remember them.

 

PERSONAL TOUCHES

  1. When planning with your florist, ask to include your loved ones favorite flower in your bouquet or boutonniere.
  2. Attach a Photo locket, piece of jewelry, a handkerchief or another personal item to your bouquet to remember your loved ones.
  3. Cut a piece of your loved one’s clothing in the shape of a heart and sew it to the inside of your dress. Or if you wanted to remember mom or grandmother a piece of their wedding gown. This can also be your something old or blue.
  4. Wear your father’s tie or cufflinks to remember him on the day.
  5. Pin a photo locket to your boutonniere or have custom cufflinks with a photo of them on it so they can be close to your heart.

                 

 

CEREMONY IDEAS

  1. Add photos of loved ones who can’t be there to your ceremony aisle.
  2. Reserve a special front row seat to remember your loved ones at the ceremony with a photo, flower or candle.
  3. If you are missing your mom or dad, carry a small photo frame tied with a ribbon on your arm or attach a photo locket to your shoes so your father can still walk you down the aisle.
  4. Light a candle during the service in memory of all those who are there in spirit.
  5. Include a picture of them on your alter table so they can be part of your certificate signing photos.

               

RECEPTION IDEAS

11. Create a photo display celebrating those who have passed. Old wedding photos are a lovely touch.

12. A way to remember loved ones is to have a place set with their photo at the table.

13. Toast with their favorite wine or include their favorite after five drink on your bar menu.

14. Incorporate a favorite food or activity of theirs into your day.
