Tell us about the Groom Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

I grew up in Upper Saddle River, NJ, went to Quinnipiac University, and now work for Ernst and Young.

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

At a bar, it was a little awkward. We both found out after a couple months of dating we thought the other wasn’t into each other.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?, etc.

Early on. Our relationship always flowed really easily and just knew we were meant to be with one another.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

It was a HUGE SURPRISE. I am usually very good at finding things out and not being surprised by this was the one time somebody planned something without me knowing. I love Halloween and fall things about the Fall so Ethan figured out the perfect way to incorporate that into the proposal. We went to the Jack O Lantern Blaze in Croton on Hudson, my family was there and Ethan had them carve a pumpkin into a HUGE wedding cake saying “Sammi Will You Marry Me?” Saying I freaked out is an understatement. It is definitely a night we will never forget.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Well, I guess we are meant to get married since we both came up with the same response to this question. We both find one another funny and like how we can make each other laugh.

What is one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

How much really goes into planning a wedding. You think you have an idea but once you start there is way more that goes into it.

Why did you pick your Wedding Venue? What Attracted You?

It was the one and only placed we walked into and got the feeling it was for us. There is nothing to not love about The Brownstone.

The Brownstone

The Brownstone is so well known for the warm and romantic atmosphere.  The venue’s space is very versatile so it can accommodate many different sized weddings from very small to a wedding in their massive grand ballroom. Wedding vendors are very familiar with The Brownstone, so it is no problem getting a caterer, DJ, or florist to work at an event. In fact, many wedding vendors, like David Eric Photography, have worked so often at The Brownstone which makes it ideal for the couples getting married here. They can hire experts who know how to get the most out of the many unique features of the location. The vendor’s experience adds to the value that they can bring to your special day.

The Brownstone Hosts a Special Day

Theirs was a traditional Jewish wedding with all of the beautiful wedding traditions. The bride and groom tied the knot in the brightly lit Atrium in front of friends and family in a beautiful ceremony that symbolized the love that they share. The groom’s best Friend Mitch served as his best man, and the bride’s brother  Steven was her man of honor.

The Wedding Reception

At this past wedding, the food was delicious and the flowers were inspiring. The couple shared an extraordinary emotional dance with their parents and then broke out into the Hora, guest lifted them and their parents in the air on chairs and then partied and danced the night away. All of these magical moments captured by the talents of David Eric Photography.

The speeches contained a right mix of lighthearted fun and touching moments. They told their connections to the bride and groom and the love that they share.
