Tell us about the bride, Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Born and raised in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Attended Ridgefield Park high school where I  met my fiancé when I was 15 years old through mutual friends. I graduated high school in 2007 and moved to NY for seven years during which time I earned two degrees. I studied at Adelphi University where i received my B.A. from the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. I then went on to achieve a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. I moved back to NJ in 2014 to be with Danny. He proposed a year later and I am now a therapist at a private practice. 

Also about the Groom, Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Danny grew up in Little Ferry NJ and also attended Ridgefield Park high school. After graduating in 2007, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Danny was stationed all over the United States and has deployed all over the world. Danny served in Operation Enduring Freedom, deployed to Afghanistan, and was awarded a Purple Heart. Danny was honorable discharged in 2014 as a corporal in the USMC after his five year contact had been completed. Danny is now a police officer.

How did you first meet? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

We met when we were 15 years old. I was at a friends house and Danny came along that night with a group of his guy friends. We met for the first time that night and have been inseparable every since!

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did? etc.

How did he propose? (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

I had been anticipating Danny’s proposal on several different occasions prior to when he actual did. They came and went and when Danny never popped the question I had come to the realization that I shouldn’t expect it to happen on any significant date or event.

So when our anniversary came I didn’t think he would ask. On our 12th anniversary we spent the whole day together. It was a summer day so we went swimming, I saw my family that day, then he took me home to get ready for a nice dinner at the Chart House in Weehawken. The entire day/night had gone by so by the time we got to desert I thought for sure it wasn’t going to happen.

I thought he would be ridden with nerves and I would be able to tell when he was going to do it, but Danny was so calm and collected.  As we’re finishing the night Danny begins to give a speech about how its our anniversary, all the years together, and pulls out a beautiful wooden box. I knew this was the moment! he presented me the ring, had me open it, and asked me to marry him as i stared at this gorgeous sparkling diamond ring.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

Our history and ability to balance each other. We are each others best friends.

What inspired your decor or theme? 

FLOWERS! I dreamed of getting married in a garden. I wanted to be surrounded by flowers on a beautiful fall day because it’s our favorite season.

The one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

The amount of time and effort it takes to plan so many details.

Why did you pick your Wedding Venue, What Attracted you?

Danny actually picked our wedding venue. I had been visiting so many places with my parents and it was hard to find something we both liked. On a whim I decided to go view the Westmount. As soon as I walked in I said to myself, “Danny will love this”. On the first visit my mom was ready to book then and there. I felt like i was compromising my vision. On the second viewing I brought Danny. Danny walked in and his mouth opened and he said “wow!”. I was sold right then and there.

The DJ played a great mix of music that was able to satisfy both the young and old.
