Tell us about the bride Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Amanda grew up in Marlboro, NJ. Was in school for an extremely long time. Attended college at NYU, then on to dental school at Columbia University, then back to NYU for 3 years of specialty training to become a periodontist. She works in several offices providing periodontal care to patients.

Tell us about the Groom Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Greg grew up in North Arlington, NJ. He attended college at Rutgers University, and has been working for Barclay’s Capital since then.

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty Details.

We met online, as so many people do these days. We only had one friend in common though! Greg decided to spend our first date at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn Bridge Park, which is a huge food festival right on the water in Brooklyn. It was the end of June, and the day was about as hot and humid as could be. After walking around for a little bit, it was quickly decided that the afternoon would be spent sampling every frozen treat the festival had to offer. We shared everything. The day ended at St. Gambrinus, which is a favorite beer shop of Greg’s. The day couldn’t have been more perfect.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did?,etc.

For both of us, it was when Greg spent two and a half weeks out on the west coast following around the band Phish on their fall tour. It was a couple months into when we started dating. The way I missed him, I knew this was different from anyone else. Greg tried to surprise me by attempting to get on an earlier flight home, but was unable to make it happen, which I know was super upsetting to him. However, I surprised him at the airport, to be waiting for him when he got off the plane. The moment I saw him come down the escalator, I knew he was the one.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning?, how did you feel? nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Greg proposed at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the scene of our first date. It was so perfect, and romantic, and a blur all at the same time. We were supposed to be meeting friends for drinks in the area, and as we were walking along the water he started reminiscing about our first date…. and before I knew it he was down on one knee. Its a pretty public spot so people were walking by and cheering. Greg had arranged so that the friends we were meeting had been taking photos of the entire thing, so now we have those to cherish forever. We spent the night celebrating with those friends, so happy and so in love, anticipating the start of the most amazing life together.

Tell us the one thing you love most about each other.

I love how great of a team we make. We compliment each other so well, balance each other out, its an indescribable feeling to have the most amazing partner.

If you feel comfortable, share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

I love the way Greg makes these silly faces at me. Whether we’re home, in public, at a wedding, across a room, its our little way of showing affection, even when we think no one else is looking.

What inspired your decor or theme?

I (the bride) have always loved the fall and knew that’s when I wanted to get married. The colors of the season are my absolute favorite, and echo through the entire day.

The Grove Hosts a Special Day

At this past wedding, the food was delicious, the flowers were inspiring, and the DJ kept the guests entertained for the entire night. It was a classic wedding with all of the traditional wedding activities and traditions. The bride and groom tied the knot in front of friends and family in a beautiful ceremony that symbolized the love that they share.

The Reception

The couple shared their first dance. The speeches contained a good mix of lighthearted fun and touching moments about their connections to the bride and groom and the love that they share.

Dinner was a gourmet delight but the real star of the day was the delicious cake. The baker really outdid themselves by creating a treat that not only looked remarkable but tasted as good as it looked. If you have been to many weddings you probably know that this is not always the case. After dinner was served the real party began as the dance floor was occupied by the guests. The DJ played a great mix of music that was able to satisfy both the young and old. The wedding was a great celebration and Of course, all of these magical moments were expertly recorded with the talents of David Eric Photography.
