Tell us about the bride… Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Well I was born in Bosnia and then moved around Europe during the war. Afterwards we moved to the United States 2 New Jersey in Cliffside Park where I now reside. I went to Cliffside Park High School and graduated from Berkeley College where I went to school for fashion. Now I work in the industry and enjoy doing so.

Tell us about the groom… Where you grew up went to school, where you work.

Well I was born in the Bronx, New York. Moved to Tampa Florida for a few years. to then we came back up to the Bronx, after that we moved into Jersey. I went to Cliffside Park High School, afterwards I attended Lincoln Tech for automotive technology. And unfortunately I have yet to work in that industry.

Tell us how you first met? Who what when where why? Give us the dirty details.

Well I can tell you from my perspective(Jose). I was hanging out out with Cesar, my best friend, and we were on our way to his place of employment where his brother also worked. When we saw him walking home from work because they were let out early and his brother was with a few girls. One of those girls happened to be Anita. They were walking down Edgewater Ave. I turn to my best friend’s Cesar and told him damn that one girl your brother’s walking was pretty hot. He turns to me and says yeah we only hang out with the other two so that she comes around. I said to myself damn that makes sense.

When did you know he/she was the one? Was there something he/she did? 

I Jose, realize that she was the one when I was having an argument with some big jerk, and she got in his face ready to hit him for me. I knew right then, that if she was willing to get punched in the face by some irate guy for me that she must really love me.

Tell us about the proposal. (Did you see it coming, how long was it in the planning? How did you feel? Nervous, excited, freaking out?)

Well, I took Anita to Goodfellas Restaurant, this is where we had already had one of our anniversaries. I was trying to hide the ring under her napkin when she would go to the bathroom, like she always did, but of course this time she’d never needed to go. During the conversation we were having I managed to slip the box into my hand and hold it covered on the table for about 20 minutes. When break in the conversation came, I open my hands to reveal the little box. Anita to begin to look down at the box, and she said ” are you serious ” I said yes I am, and she immediately said “Yes”, now what made this situation funny was right after I look to my right where there is another set of couples dining. It was two older gentleman 50 + with two younger women under 25. The two women looked at the men and said “Must be nice”, then all the men could do was look around in shame…..

Tell us one thing you love the most about each other.

The amount of patience she has for me. I can be quite a handful, because I’m a little bit of a practical joker. I spend most of my time with Anita so who do you think is at the opposite end of my practical jokes. She doesn’t always think it’s funny, LOL…… but she loves me.

If you feel comfortable share with us something silly or quirky the other person does.

Every now and then when we are alone and she exits the room that we’ve been in together she Wiggles her butt like a little kid,, it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen…… and she likes the way that I use little kid voices and blamed Chewy (our doggie) for anything I may have done wrong…..

Besides getting married – What is the one thing you are looking forward to on your wedding day?

The party, what else would we be waiting for. It’s about getting married celebrating it with those close to us and partying out.

What is your favorite trend for weddings right now? What inspired your decor or theme?

What would inspired me for the decor of the wedding was actually the Dallas Cowboys, I have always loved the colors and they’re huge part of my life. It just so happens to be that Anita liked the colors as well,” thank goodness.”

What is one thing you wish you would have known earlier in regards to planning?

I was told that it’s all in the small detail, but nobody told me how many small details there would be. There are so many small details!!!!!!!!!!!! So many small details!!!!!!!!!!

Why did you pick your Wedding Venue, What Attracted you?

The reasons we picked our venue is because they only provide service to one event at a time. The grounds are maintained beautifully, and the gentleman we spoke to Moufid, was extremely easy to work with gave us confidence in his ability to provide us with the type of service we wanted and was always regular available for any questions we may have had.
