In 2024, Olympic competitions will be opened in France. The village of Teahupo‘o in Tahiti will be the surfing location for the Paris Olympics. We visited the venue, invited by the local surf organization, on the white foam of the barrier reef border…

We leave the harbor behind and get in action: red, green, and yellow teams are already surfing

A few boats of visitors are also enjoying the show: short boards, body boards, long boards

Waves and colors at sea are strong and vivid: 360 with body boards are pleasure to the eyes

On a tall palafitte nailed on the reef border, the jury establish which team wins

Surfers are pictured also by swimming photographers. After 6 hours shooting with my zoom 80-400 mm I have to stop

Everybody gets back on board for interviews and celebrations…waiting or the French Olympics next year.
