The Pier And The Seagull

This is a partial capture of a huge fishing Pier that extends almost halfway across Yaquina Bay, in Newport on the Oregon Coast.

Folks crab and fish from the pier and usually do very well. On this particular day, there were no fishermen. However, there were two girls that were crabbing and were filling a cooler with Red Rock and Dungeness Crab.

In the background, is the famous Yaquina Bay Bridge built in 1936...an Oregon Landmark!

This image has been converted to High Dynamic Range by combining three different exposures, and then incorporating the results into a digital painting.
