Bridezilla Dorset Wedding Photographer

In my yearly Dorset Wedding photography commissions, I every now and again get asked for fun photos, this photo is right on trend at the moment being #Bridezilla. Bridezilla images are some of the best to get, but not necessarily taking things quite this far! The bride for this wedding had seen an image of a Dinosaur chasing all the wedding party and she said she would like an image like that as she was in her own words, a bit of a Bridezilla. She was no where near a Bridzila, she was a lovely person to work for, and very charming, she just knew what she wanted from her very special big day.

We had so much fun doing this Shot, and it was my first time doing something like it, as I knew there would be allot of Photoshop work, so my plan was to make that part of the work flow as easy as possible. I took the shot of the guys running twice and directed them by shouting and screaming PANIC….SHE IS HUGE AND TERRIFYING! Which to be frank is not what you would normally shout at a wedding party. I think though they all did a great job of acting it all out and I particularly love the Groom scooping up his little boy also the head Bridesmaid literally running for her life in front of everyone, obviously doing some method acting?

I photographed the Bride from a very low viewpoint and had her background as the sky, which by far makes the whole Photoshop thing a piece of cake. The wagging of the finger is I think, is a master of understatement, after all do you need to scream and shout if you are that terrifying?

I would finally like to point out for sexism reasons, that there can be Groomzillas out there as well, but they are very rare.

At the end of the day this sort of image is just a bit of fun, and also quite rare to be asked for as it certainly does not resonate with the majority of Brides to be, but fun photos can take many forms, but if put on the spot, most couples just want a few set up shots of themselves and groups, and the rest of the coverage as relaxed as possible.

By the way, this Bride also had group shots, normal romantics, detail shots, and relaxed fly on the wall coverage throughout the whole day, like I wrote above, she knew what she wanted, and I am never one to shy away from a comprehensive photographic brief.
