Rhinefield House New Forest wedding photographer | 2016 Review

Rhinefield House in the New Forest was a pleasure to be the Wedding photographer at quite a few times during  2016, and of course it makes my review for last year. I love this first photography moment which I always tend to get at most weddings a close up of the bridal bouquet including the bride and groom at the signing of the register and loving life at this critical moment. This image is made that bit more special as I love the natural sunlight flaring through the large window which enhances that moment of the sun is shining and all is well with the world at this moment. A moment I hope they can look back on for years to come.

TOP Ten Tips FOR A Perfect Wedding DAY

I included this black and white photography shot as I love the over exposed natural light flowing through the door from the outside and hitting the groom’s face and the bride’s face being lit from the reflected light from the grooms face, a small but very crucial little tiny details I spot. Also another aspect of this shot that is unusual and unique is where I am photographing the location. This is the entrance to the Rhinefield House and it has a very awesome ceiling, which I never see other photographers taking advantage of as they get mesmerized by the scale and beauty of the rest of the venue and overlook the smaller niche details of this wedding venue. This is just a quick moment in the whole day while their guests vacate the ceremony room and make their way into the grounds and the happy couple relax for a few minutes drinking their Champagne.

TOP TEN TIPS FOR A PERFECT WEDDING DAY

Often I have to explain to couples that the romantic couple shots only take around 10-15 minutes and these sort of shots above I can achieve with ease after nearly 20 years experience in the wedding photography field. This moment is created, but has the air of being spontaneous, and that is the most challenging aspect of natural wedding photography. My job as a wedding photographer is to enable people to relax in front of the camera, and that’s all about being a people person! Besides all that, I love this image, especially after my high art treatment of it with light pastel tints added, giving it a high key beauty and fits the delicate nature of the content….love.

This again is a semi posed shot, just guiding the couple where to stand and not fussing. Being critical of this shot, I would of preferred the bride’s hand being a bit straighter,  holding the flowers lower down, but thats just me, sometimes I fell the moment and don’t want to ruin it by interfering, other times the moment can be right for me to add a suggestion. I obviously have done allot of work on this image post editing for their high art versions and it has given a more timeless feel to the image.

TOP TEN TIPS FOR A PERFECT WEDDING DAY

This makes this blog post as it is so rare for me to see a smoke machine at a wedding, you cannot beat a bit of smoke to create an atmosphere, its very primordial! Put a few back lights in the mix, which are my off camera lighting and you have an absolutely awesome first dance image, while including some of the ambient lighting and also all the guests watching on…classic.

TOP TEN TIPS FOR A PERFECT WEDDING DAY

Now this is a wedding image you wont see every day of the week, and most certainly hardly ever in Dorset, as this requires allot of tech patience to set up. I love night time or dusk photography, and I have created allot of truly amazing shots like these at Rhinefield as it makes such an amazing backdrop. I remember first starting wedding photography and really wanting to photograph a wedding there, and I had to wait years, but it was worth it. Of course since then weddings have moved on allot! Now I also look forward doing more shabby chic and rustic and festival weddings as they are the new and up and coming wedding trends.
