Vikki & Oliver engagement wedding shoot at Sandbanks, Dorset.

Vikki and Oliver left their engagement Shoot a bit late, we did this just a week before their wedding was to take place, but they chose a great Autumn day down Sandbanks for their shoot, it was so warm and the fog was still very much about giving a atmospheric misty look to the images. I have placed these images into the order of taking them, and we can see them quickly relaxing into the shoot, with some help from me just chatting which is of course the secret to getting great relaxed images. In case anyone spots the tire in the shoreline, the reason for including this is that I thought being a circle echoed the ring, the eternal circle with no beginning or ending, I know it’s a horrible old tire, but I found it symbolic, and for anyone/guys out there with a sense of humour, yes there was a chain attached to it!

We had some gorgeous natural light in a few of these pics, direct sunlight diffused just ever so slightly by the mist and lowering the colour temperature of it by a few stops. These images are natural colour shots straight out of the camera, which due to the lighting have come out with muted colours which I think gives that more Autumn feel and a nod to the time of year.

I am writing this blog the day before their big day and I have just checked out the weather and it is predicted to be bright sunshine but a bit chilly at 7c and a slight North Wind. Their wedding will take place at Kingston Country Courtyard on the Purbecks which is atop of a large chase hill, but as it’s a courtyard we should get some protection from the worst of the wind. Second to the rain, the wind is my next dreaded weather, as all the lady guests can end up with punk hair styles if we don’t watch it, free air brushing can only do so much!
