It is so ironic that yesterday I signed off from C.V.T. for the foreseeable future and then through some Family Member I discovered that an administrator of a popular but private Facebook group "Clarence Valley History, Past and Present" has been ripping off my photos and posts(word for word) and shamelessly putting his own name to them as if he had written them: in copyright terms this is simple theft!

Firstly the copyright of my blog is aligned with Creative Commons and is prominently displayed. Over the years I have had a number of people contact me asking to use my photos or my research and I have always given permission as long as they reference the address of my blog thus acknowledging my authorship and ownership. Likewise I have always tried to reference historic photos that I have used in my research.

As I stated in my previous post, I have always undertaken serious research that requires a great deal of reading and searching and I just don't have time at present to undertake this. I like humorous and scenic shots but it was always the research that was the glue that held my blog together and kept me wanting to do it.

Anyway to cut a long story short I immediately challenged the administrator about this theft and of course he blocked my family member in the facebook group, but I won't go away and let this continue any more than if I caught a thief red-handed in my house.

So take this post and put it on your blog... I dare you!!!!
