Something wicked this way comes….

Some of you may have noticed the site sponsor banner pop up in the menu sidebar for Hours of Idleness (same as below), and this is because online retailer Pergear has sent me a new Lens to Review on the blog.

A couple of notes about that. First, I have purchased items from Pergear in the past, and can vouch for their excellent and quick service. Second, the lens that they sent fills a gap in my lineup for a fast, portrait lens (and yes, I get to keep it), but this does not guarantee a glowing review. They’ve noted my previous reviews and my work in general, and have not discouraged me from posting about the flaws as well.
