Quick Family Hike through one of the Missouri’s best State Parks (and so close to STL!). I’ve written about the Park in the past, including about its remarkable history, so this post will be a mostly visual tour.

Photographically, Castlewood seldom disappoints. I’ve been there countless scores of times over the years, and always see something new or an opportunity to photograph something again (in better light, atmosphere, differently, etc.). For kids, this is a great Park too; in addition to several easy to moderate trails through a variety of environments (bluff top to riverside, wooded hills to wide open fields), there are water recreation opportunities, a large playground, ball fields and more. For more information on planning a visit, check out their website here.
