In May, the small town of Scio, Oregon has their annual Lamb and Wool Fair, which we like to go to. My husbands Uncle Jerry and his family live there and is a lot of fun to go visit them and partake in the small town atmosphere that I miss so much from my own childhood. The festival has a parade, booths, attractions, and judging for such things as flowers and quilt making. Every year, Uncle Jerry's family enters the flower competition with his gorgeous irises and has won multiple awards. I was lucky enough to get some of the prize winning tubers about two seasons ago and this year, I got my first flowers!!! I went to check out the new pretty blooms in my yard and spotted this ladybug perfectly perched inside. Not too much of a coincidence though really, since I had just released a bag full of nursery ladybugs in my garden that very day. But picturesque nonetheless!
