Everyone is tired of the Instagram algorithm and decreasing organic reach.
But the reach you get on your Instagram posts depends on a variety of reasons and the algorithm is just one of the many.
By focussing on what you can control, you can get better reach and grow your account.
The only thing you have to do is be optimistic and spend time analyzing who your audience is and what type of content do they love to consume & engage with.
Know what is trending at the moment
When you consume content on Instagram, make a note of what is currently Trending.
If you hop on to a trend while it is heating up, you will hit the jackpot.
Trends can be of different kinds. A piece of trending music, dance hook, transition effect, effects, etc.
For example, right now the song Måneskin – Beggin’ is trending.

For the latest trending audios, you can look into @mermaidscales ‘s posts.
When you spot an ongoing trend that isn’t exactly in line with your niche, still try it out. Give it your own twist to make it relatable to the audience in your niche.
It is definitely share-worthy when someone does something different, standing out from the crowd.
What is ranking high on the hashtags?
Keep checking the posts that rank high on the hashtags you use in your posts. They are the posts that are beating the Instagram Algorithm.
What kind of posts are those, how are they different from yours?
Is there a specific type of edit that works, or is it a high engagement rate?
Generally speaking, posts that ask a question in the caption, or share a tip/hack do well almost every time.
If you want people to comment on your posts, you need to give them something to comment about.
You’d agree with me when I say that you yourself are more likely to comment on a post that teaches you something or is asking you a question.

What are the people asking for?
You are more likely to engage with a person’s post on Instagram if they have helped you in any way through their posts, stories, or DMs.
I agree that your Instagram profile is yours and you should post what makes you happy. That is absolutely correct.
But what is also correct is the fact that Instagram is a social networking platform. So, creating a social network is a pretty basic necessity.
Read the comments carefully. Especially on the posts of the top creators in your niche. Is there something that the people keep asking for?
For instance, if your niche is gardening, one common question that most people have is about how to water their plants properly, how to make healthy manure for their plants at home, what can they grow easily in their kitchen, etc.
Use your stories to ask people to tell you what they would like to see more of.
Head to your professional dashboard in the Instagram app and check out the detailed insights. You can do this in the creator studio too.
What’s the age group of your audience? What are the top locations you have your followers in?
And most importantly, see when the majority of your audience is online.
Ideally, you should post around 30 minutes to 1 hour before the peak time. Since it takes a while for a post to be seen on the timeline.
I would strongly recommend scheduling your Instagram posts to never miss posting at the right time. It is best if you schedule at least a week’s post in advance.
This will give you a lot of free time to engage and do other things.
Schedule your posts using the creator studio, here’s how you can do it.
Now that you have done what was explained in the above two points, use that information to develop our content strategy for the next month and beat the Instagram algorithm.
Instead of engaging on Instagram at random times during the day, engage 3 times a day, for 15 minutes each.
Any work that you do, is always more fruitful when you set a time dedicated for it.
You can even set reminders for yourself on your smartphone. How about 11 AM, 5 PM, and 9 PM?
According to the new insights shared by Instagram, the Instagram algorithm decides what goes on the explore page seeing what type of content you interact with the most.
What you liked, save, share and comment on.
That means that if you create posts that are around the points we talked about, such as, re-creating a trending hook, can get more comments.
And as people comment on your pots more often, they will see it on their explore page more often.
