People all over the globe are practising social distancing. All of us are looking for ways to spend time with our loved ones. Such as online games like Ludo and Carrom or group video calls on Zoom. Now you have another way to pass the time in your homes, movies on Netflix and Chill.

Thanks to Google, it has released a Google Chrome Extension that lets you stream shows and movies online on Netflix simultaneously with your friend’s and family’s screens. There is also a chatbox available so that you can really feel like everybody is watching together and having a little chat. This feature is being widely called a Netflix Party. And you should give it a try right away!

How To Use Netflix Party

Install the extension

Here is the link to download the Google Chrome extension. You should be using Google Chrome browser to use it. The host and the people who’ll be joining the party, everyone should have the extension installed on their Google Chrome.

Choose a movie or a show

Select a movie or show to watch and hit play. As it starts, click on the NP button that appears in your browser after you have installed the Google Chrome extension. You will see a dialog box pop-up, just as in the picture above.

When you click on start the party, you will get a link that you have to send to anyone who wants to join your Netflix Party. After clicking on the link, the person has to click on the red NP Button on their browser as well. As you are hosting the party, if you pause or rewind the movie, it will do so for all the members watching it. If you want to exit or end it, you just have to close the movie.
