From December 31, some Whatsapp users will have to bid goodbye to the service. The decade saw a surge in technology advancements. For some devices, the last date would be January 1, 2020.
It is only obvious that the older devices will run out of capabilities at some point. If you’re using an old Android/iOS/Windows Phone, this is a piece of bad news for you.
I’d suggest you hop on e-commerce sites and buy the phones on sale ASAP. But first, let’s see if your device made the cut or are you safe.

Which devices will not support WhatsApp?
Smartphones running on Android version 2.3.7 and lower will not support WhatsApp. As for iOS, you need to have an iPhone running on higher than iOS 8. For Android and iOS, the deadline is January 1, 2020.
Windows Phone OS has its date set early, December 31, 2019. Tomorrow. This is also because Microsoft itself has abandoned Windows Phone OS from the same day.
You can’t create new accounts
After the deadline, the users won’t be able to re-verify or create new accounts on them. To remind you once more, the following mobile operating systems are under the radar,

How to create a backup of your WhatsApp Chats
Go to your chats window and open the Chat that you want to backup. Tap on the button on the top left and select export chat. In the next window, you will be asked if you want to back up the chat with media(pictures, videos etc.) or without.
Select the export type of you choice and a backup for that chat will be created. You can save this exported chat in your memory card. This memory can then be inserted into your new smartphone.
When you install WhatsApp on it, it will automatically detect any backup chats stored in your phone and set it up in your chat window.
WhatsApp says that the app will work normally on devices running Android 4.0.3 and newer and iOS 9 and newer.
