How to Enable Ambient Mode On Google Assistant

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The Ambient Mode feature of Google Assitant makes it more useful. It shows you personalized notifications and reminders on your lock screen.

The notifications shown can be of the upcoming alarms, time to reach home etc. The whole idea behind the ambient mode is to display necessary notifications on the lock screen without having to unlock your phone.

If you have Google smart home devices, the ambient mode will show you the controls on the screen as well. To use this feature, your smartphone should be running on Android 8.0 or higher.

Google search app must be updated. Google says that this feature is now supported in Nokia, Transsion Holdings, Xiaomi and others.

I enabled this feature on my Poco F1. Let me show you how you can enable it on your phone.
