Oppo just launched two new smartphones, Oppo A9 2020 and the Oppo A5 2020. The predecessor, Oppo A9 was launched in April this year and made its way to India in July. Is a new successor device in just 3 months a piece of bad news for someone who bought Oppo A9?
The highlight feature of the phone is that it comes with a quad-camera of 42-megapixels. Let’s take a closer look into the full specifications of Oppo A9 2020 and Oppo A5 2020.
Specifications of Oppo A9 2020
Oppo A9 2020 has a 6.5-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a screen-to-body ratio of ~82.5%. The display has a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels with ~270 PPI.
The fingerprint scanner is placed at the back of the phone which is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery.
Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie), Qualcomm SDM665 Snapdragon 665 and Adreno 610.
The main camera is a quad-camera consisting of 48MP (wide)+ 8MP (ultrawide) + 2 MP+ 2MP(depth sensor). It can shoot videos of up to 2160p@30fps and has gyro electronic image stabilization support.
The front camera is of 16-megapixels and can shoot videos of up to 1080p@30fps. Surprisingly, the USB port isn’t Type-C, it is USB 2.0.
The device will be available in two colors, Marine Green and Space Purple. It will be available to purchase on Amazon from September 16 and in offline stores from September 19.

Oppo A9 2020 Price in India
It is priced at Rs 16,990 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The high-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage will cost Rs 19,990.
Specifications of Oppo A5 2020
The Oppo A5 2020 is similar to Oppo A9 2020 to some extent. It has a 6.5-inch display with nano waterdrop notch which is protected by Corning Glass 3+. The device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie).
It also comes with the quad-camera setup and an upgraded 12-megapixels sensor. The rest is same: 8-megapixel ultra-wide (119 degrees) lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.
It features Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 665 chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery. There is 10W Type-C charging support. Like the A9 2020, the fingerprint scanner is placed at the back of the phone.
The smartphone comes in two colors, Dazzling White and Mirror Black. It will be available on Amazon and in offline stores from September 21.

Oppo A5 2020 Price in India
Oppo A5 2020 will be available for starting Rs 12,490 for the 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage option. The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage option will be made available for Rs 13,990.
